Librarian and Literacy Support Officer - Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School

What is the job role?

On behalf of the Academy Committee, we are seeking a Librarian & Literacy Support Officer to join our team at Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School. 

This is an important role within our school and central to the promotion and improvement of literacy throughout the school.  

This role involves managing the school library and supporting the implementation of the school literacy policy.   You will also work with our students within the library delivering literacy interventions and carrying out reading assessments.

 

Interested candidates should have some experience working in a school or with young people preferably with a literacy focus. Creativity in making the library an attractive place for students, the ability to support literacy and develop the research capabilities of students is also essential.
