Grade 3 (pro rata salary £17,017 - £19,939 per annum)
37 hours per week term time only plus 1 week (39 weeks)

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our English team as a School Librarian.
We are looking for an outstanding, committed and motivated candidate to take their first step on a career working in schools. This post is an excellent opportunity to open up long term progression to become a Teacher in the future. It would suit someone with a real passion for reading and a creative background, but also someone who wants to make a difference in the world and would be interested in a teaching career in the future.
Utilising your excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills you will work closely with English team to manage an efficient and effective school library, including reading with students with lower reading ages, running rewards and competitions linked to reading, using reading data to develop intervention, restocking the library and running a computerised library system. You will also support students in ensuring any barriers to learning they face are overcome, particularly regarding their ability to read.

Experience of working in an education context is preferred but is definitely not essential.
