This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing Pathways to Employment Team and make a real difference to the lives of adults and young disabled people by helping them to develop their employment skills and progress into meaningful, sustainable and good quality employment opportunities.
The Pathways to Employment Team is part of the Employment and Skills Service, which includes our Adult Education Service. This will include getting to know each individual, helping to match them to the right opportunities and then providing them with on-the-job training and support in the workplace. You will also liaise with the young person’s family, education provider and other people involved in their life to ensure that the support you provide is tailored to the young person’s needs.

This will involve working with the individual’s workplace colleagues to help them to develop the skills and confidence they need, identifying the various tasks that make up the role and working with the employer to develop a training plan. You will carry out regular monitoring visits and reviews to ensure that placements are going well and that individuals are progressing.
