IT Technician - Manor Park Primary School

What is the job role?

Governors seek to appoint an energetic, creative and forward-thinking ICT Technician to proactively support our schools ICT Infrastructures.Your role will be to support our staff and students, providing first line technical support promptly and efficiently, in person and remotely. You will be required to diagnose, detect and resolve problems with a wide range of equipment including laptops, PCs, tablets, printers, peripheral, network and software.

This role will involve installation, checking and maintaining of resources for safe, effective use by pupils and staff and support for pupils and staff in the appropriate use of IT.

You will support & lead lunchtime clubs & after school clubs in computing or new technologies.

You will need:

  • Experience of supporting a Microsoft environment including but not limited to Active Directory, Office 365 and Teams
  • Up to date knowledge of developments with ICT equipment, hardware and software applications
  • Ensure attention to detail and take pride in the work you do
  • Be able to work under pressure and to deadlines, and produce work to the required standards and to agreed timescales
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences
  • 5 GCSEs including English and Mathematics & an IT qualification to demonstrate a good all-round knowledge of software & hardware maintenance & application
  • A strong commitment to our schools values and ethos
  • A desire to work with children

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and organised individual who can work on their own initiative as well as being an effective team member.

Required as soon as possible
37 hours per week Mon – Friday hours to be agreed – Term Time only (42 weeks)

Salary ranging –  £18,933 – £20,092 (£16,357 - £17,358 pro rata) or £19,698 - £23,080 (£17,017 - £19,9340) dependent upon experience

Interview & Assessment: Friday 29th April 2022

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
