Are you experienced working with children with additional needs, who is passionate about providing the best education for pupils and promotes effective inclusion?
Due to the current success of our Enhanced Resource Base and popularity across the city, we are extending our provision further in September 2023. This means that we are looking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant with a commitment to Special Educational Needs and Inclusion to work in our Enhanced Resource Base. You would be joining a well established and highly effective team, who make the difference to children’s lives on a daily basis! This role is an exciting opportunity and is ideal for those with experience of supporting children in a mainstream or specialist setting.
Our Enhanced Resource Base is a specialist base for children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), including complex communication and interaction difficulties, within a mainstream school. We provide specialist and targeted support and provision delivered in order to meet the children’s individual needs.
In the Enhanced Resource Base, the children have access to specialist equipment, resources and skilled staff but also have access to the benefits of being in a mainstream school; the Enhanced Resource Base is not separate from the rest of the school. Enhanced Resource Base children are an integral part of our school and will have access to the facilities and opportunities that this provides.
Children who attend the Enhanced Resource Base will have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) with Autism and/or complex communication and interaction difficulties as their primary area of need.
The Enhanced Resource Base works on an individual approach in order to meet the needs of each child; there is no specific way of doing things. Our vision is:
“To equip our children with the toolkit they need in order to meet their individual needs and to feel included in and participate in the wider life of the school through access to a mainstream provision. To work in partnership with parents, mainstream staff and outside agencies to develop children’s self -regulation skills, increase their independence and prepare them for their future lives.”
If you feel that you have the skills, commitment and passion required to fulfil this role then we would love to hear from you! Please contact the school office on 02476688918 or agadmin@triumphtrust.co.uk to book a tour of our wonderful school or to speak to our Headteacher, Jenny Tegerdine or our Assistant Headteacher, Maria Unitt for more information.
We can offer you:
• An environment where children and adults thrive and you can be proud of the work that you do to make a difference to our children.
• A happy and calm school that puts relationships first; children, staff and parents all report that they are happy and value the work that Alderman’s Green does.

• The opportunity to develop your practice and be a high quality practitioner in a specialist setting.
• Future opportunities to develop your career working within Alderman’s Green and across the Trust and to work in partnership with and share good practice amongst other schools.
At Alderman’s Green we work as a team to ensure that all of our children achieve the best quality learning experiences that we can provide. We work together to provide support and professional challenge to ensure that all adults and children are happy and thrive. We are a school that expects the best of everyone because our children deserve the very best . Our school promotes an enthusiasm for learning and achievement.
