We believe that children thrive in a positive environment where there are high expectations, a love of learning and where children feel supported, respected and safe. With Christ at the centre of all thoughts, actions and words; we strive to serve, challenge, guide and inspire every member to grow in the image of Christ and to be the best person they can be.

At All Souls, our distinct Catholic ethos, high standards of behaviour and commitment to every member of our school community, make this a very special place to learn. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the future growth of our popular and vibrant faith school, inspiring our children, staff and families to ‘let the light of Christ shine’.

• with a proven track record of successful leadership, raising standards in teaching and learning, resulting in measurable whole school improvement, within an aspirational, caring and accountable ethos;

• who is a strategic thinker with the vision to shape the future of All Souls, lead change and maximise the achievements of all our children;

• with excellent people management skills, who can inspire, excite and enable our staff to achieve their full potential;

• who is a confident, positive and visible leader, with the ability to build relationships with staff, pupils, parents, governors, parish and the wider community;

• who leads by example, with a ‘can-do’ attitude that inspires commitment from pupils, staff and the local community;

• who has initiative, drive, integrity, a sense of humour and excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

• has an excellent understanding of safeguarding and how to keep children safe;

• who is an outstanding class teacher.

The governing body can offer:

• a welcoming, happy community with a strong Catholic ethos where everyone is valued and cared for;

• enthusiastic, well behaved, confident, spiritual children who are always willing to learn and participate and of whom we are very proud;

• an excellent, supportive and hardworking whole staff team, fully committed to further raising standards and who will always go the extra mile for our children;

• a supportive and collaborative governing body who share an ambitious vision for the future of the school;

• very good relationships with parents, families and our parish community; all of whom are most supportive;

• a commitment to support the headteacher’s continuing professional development and faith formation
