About the team we are recruiting to

The Education Entitlement Service (EES) strives to deliver outstanding services for our customers, predominately the children of Coventry, who may be requiring access to education or alternative education provision. We ensure vulnerable children are appropriately supported; have a voice, that hopefully leads to their high achievement and excellent progress.

The EES is made up of a diverse range of teams all working together to recognise, support and apply innovative solutions to address the growing issues in relation to trying to educate some of our most vulnerable pupils in schools. 

The Outdoor Education Service made up of experienced staff members provides high quality outdoor and residential experiences within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park.

What is the job role?

Handyperson Role at Plas Dol-y-Moch, Coventry's Outdoor Education Centre.

This role is based in North Wales

Under the day-to-day direction of the Business Manager be responsible for all activities associated with a handyperson duties. Undertaking minor repairs and maintenance and familiarisation with the Centre's electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, general gardening and vehicle checks.

This post requires you to work in accordance to a rota system, working every other weekend (additional allowance will be paid for this work)

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to take some ownership of the house and grounds in order to ensure proactive maintenance and to play an important role in maintaining and developing the quality of the provision.
