What is the job role?

Following a service reorganisation this is a new role to focus on the system administration, configuration and maintenance of our HR systems to ensure the best user experience and maximisation of system functionality.  The role will also produce a range of reports and analytics, in relation to the HR service and the corporate workforce.

Supporting our users during projects and operationally is key, and will involve day to day liaison and support and the production and maintenance of information resources across a range of methods and media.  Close working with ICT and software providers throughout the reporting and systems lifecycles will also be required.

The postholder will work closely with other members of our team and provide cover where required, for example during project rollouts or for annual leave.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates with an appreciation of what a HR service does, the services it provides and the types of systems and technologies used.

You will have an understanding of how effective digital developments add value to an organisation and the importance of user centred design.

Understanding the importance of robust system administration procedures is key, as well as an understanding of the ICT service lifecycle, including change and release management.

You will have a working knowledge of databases and report writing tools, with the ability to write well-structured reports that add value.

Your verbal and written communication skills are essential for working with project teams, presenting data and reports, providing guidance and support to users and liaising with suppliers.

You need to be a good organiser and a team player to deliver a wide range of tasks on time.  Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is key.

You will be keen to develop your career in the areas of ICT systems, analytics and projects.
