We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic General Kitchen Assistant to join our existing catering team to provide support during the busy lunch-time service. This role is hands on and the emphasis will be on producing quality food and enhancing the lunchtime experience for our children.

The main duties will include:

Assisting with the preparation of food and beverages;
Washing up;
Keeping the kitchen clean & tidy, sweeping, mopping and any other general cleaning duties;
Assisting with aspects of food service;
Working as part of a busy team;
Having an awareness and understanding of pupils’ needs and their dietary and allergen requirements.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have knowledge and understanding of allergen legislation and of Food Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.

We are seeking someone who will work well as part of a team and also be able to use their own initiative; to have good communication skills and be able to interact well with both colleagues and pupils.

The hours for this role will be 10:30am – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only.
