What is the job role?

Southfields is a vibrant and welcoming school set in the heart of Coventry. The school was described as a ‘haven’ and rated ‘Good’ in its recent Ofsted inspection (December 2022).

We are currently seeking to recruit a General Kitchen Assistant to join our existing catering team to provide support during the busy lunch-time service.

The main duties will be:

• Keeping the kitchen clean & tidy, washing up, sweeping, mopping and any other general cleaning duties;

• Assisting with aspects of food service;

• Having an awareness and understanding of pupils’ needs and their dietary and allergen requirements.

The successful candidate must work well as part of a team, be able to use their own initiative, have good communication skills and be able to interact well with both colleagues and pupils.

Work Pattern

10 hours per week

The hours for this role will be 12:00pm – 2:00pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only.
