About the team we are recruiting to

The role being advertised is within the small team at CMH.  This role will support the executive team by providing financial support as required.   This is a key role providing financial administration for CMH, Coventry Technical Resources and Coventry Regeneration, but there is scope to work across the wider group. 

The CMH group’s main subsidiaries operate in the environmental/ waste sector through Tom White Waste and the hospitality and leisure sector through Coombe Abbey Park.  The role will provide a strong foundation to develop a career in finance across a varied portfolio of companies.

What is the job role?

To provide financial administrative support to the Financial Director at Coventry Municipal Holding, while undertaking training in AAT at Level 3.  The role will in the main provide support to CMH, Coventry Technical Resources and Coventry Regeneration, as well as the other companies in the group as required from time to time.

This Finance apprentice role will provide the right candidate with training to achieve level 3 in Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) over the 18 month fixed term contract, although there may be an opportunity to undertake further studies post this timeframe.   This role will support with on the job training to complement this prestigious qualification for a candidate with the right skills and attitude.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with a keen interest in developing a career within the finance sector.   The ideal candidate will have a thirst for learning and be self-motivated to manage the requirements of the training programme as well as work commitments.   Being able to fit in and forge professional relationships with the rest of the team is key as well as flexibility and a ‘can do’ attitude.

The role will be Coventry based, across Friargate, Coombe Abbey Hotel offices or Tom White Waste offices.  The candidate must be willing to travel to these different locations as required.  The successful candidate must have intermediate experience of using MS Excel and understand IT systems in an office-based environment. You will have good communication skills and have the ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure.
