The Environmental Services team strives to achieve, and we are always looking for opportunities to improve and develop our services further.  Environmental Services consists of a variety of services from bereavement, streetpride, waste, parks and open spaces to enforcement, fleet, pest control and dog enforcement.  

With a wide range of services, you will have the rare opportunity to learn about the work we undertake and the initiatives we carry out in our aim to continuously improve areas and services for all our residents. 

What is the job role?

Reporting to the Environmental Service Project Manager the successful applicants key focus will be to encourage, support and prepare applications for grant funding with the aim to further develop and deliver improvements across the environmental services team, as well as supporting the team in the preparation of tenders 

They will support the Parks and Open Spaces team in funding for section 106 and support on planning applications and charges for maintenance of areas within the scope of planning.  

 

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a suitably motivated and enthusiastic individual who is experienced in seeking out financial opportunities applying for funding and producing accurate reports on the initiatives of our services to include project improvement and progress. 

A person who understands project delivery principles and can monitor and audit large-scale spending. You will need to identify and work with our managers to bid for and monitor the delivery of improvements that meet our residents’ expectations.
