Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ certificate in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent?
Are you confident with the Early Years curriculum?

St Christopher Primary School is a successful two-form entry school. The school is seeking to appoint a strong, experienced and friendly person to work within the school. We have a team of teaching assistants who work in a variety of ways supporting the teaching and learning of children.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about the importance of Early Years and who will work seamlessly with our Early Years teachers. They will fully embrace our school values, have excellent people skills and make a wider contribution to school life through being an active part of our staff team.
The role will include:
- Assisting the teachers in our Early Years unit with classroom preparation
- Work with children who require additional support
- Leading group work
- Helping the class teachers with pupil observations
- Planning focus learning activities
The successful candidate will need:
- Solid understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage
- Experience working with children under 5 years old
- A high level of literacy and numeracy skills – GCSE English and Maths
- Relevant Level 3 qualification.
- Good organisational skills
- Initiative and enthusiasm
- The ability to establish good working relationships with children, colleagues and other professionals
- The ability to motivate children to achieve their best and establish good relationships with their peers.
- First Aid qualification or willingness to be trained.
Working Hours - 35 per week, 39 term time weeks per year
