We are delighted to be expanding our Nursery provision and are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our passionate Early Years team. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting new chapter at Hollyfast Primary School, helping to shape and develop a nurturing, high‑quality environment where our youngest learners can thrive from the very beginning. You will work alongside a supportive and committed team who share a genuine belief in giving every child the very best start to their learning journey.

What is the job role?

Hollyfast Primary School is seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant to work alongside our committed Early Years team. The successful applicant will support children’s learning, wellbeing and development through high-quality provision and positive relationships.

A Level 3 or above Early Years qualification is essential.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

• Work with individual pupils and small groups to promote learning, development and positive behaviour

• Help create a safe, caring and stimulating learning environment, both indoors and outdoors

• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development, encouraging independence and confidence

• Observe, support and contribute to the assessment of pupils’ progress

• Build positive relationships with children, staff and parents

• Support children with personal care needs where required

• Uphold the school’s values, policies and safeguarding procedures at all times

• Work collaboratively as part of the Early Years team and wider school community

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about working with children and helping them reach beyond the stars

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Works well as part of a team and shows initiative

• Is patient, flexible, and organised

• Has experience working in a primary school setting and has a Level 3 or above in Early Years qualification
