Early Years Practitioner (Preschool) - Sowe Valley Primary School
What is the job role?
We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, motivated and creative Early Years Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive primary school team. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate practitioner who understands the importance of high-quality early childhood education and is eager to help our youngest learners develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning from the very start of their school journey.
The successful candidate will initially work within our Preschool, supporting children in their learning and development through a play-based, child-centred approach. You will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
Applicants must hold an Early Years qualification and have recent, up-to-date experience working with young children.
Who are we looking for?
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging Early Years activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Observing, assessing and recording children’s progress
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting children’s wellbeing
- Supporting children with their learning in the classroom, in small group sessions, intervention sessions and 1:1 where appropriate
- Working closely with teachers, parents/carers and other staff to support children’s development
- Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment
