Dining Room Assistant - Wyken Croft Primary School
What is the job role?
The governors of Wyken Croft Primary School are looking to recruit a Dining Room Assistant to join our school as soon as possible. Here at Wyken Croft we have a successful and established lunchtime team. We are passionate about providing a positive lunchtime experience for our pupils.
We cater for a large number of pupils here at the school and therefore you must be hard working, flexible helping our children in a busy and demanding environment. A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills is essential along with the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and pupils.
Our dining room assistants work closely with our catering team to ensure that our lunchtimes are a positive experience for our pupils.
The successful candidate will be expected to work in the dinner hall and playgrounds engaging in the supervision of the children whilst ensuring that our children adhere to the schools policies.
The successful candidate will ensure our high standards of hygiene are maintained within the dinner hall whilst assisting pupils in all aspects of the lunchtime service.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist in cleaning the dinner hall at the end of the lunchtime session.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will need to:
• Experience of working in an educational setting is preferable but not essential.
• Work professionally with all pupils and staff members to ensure a smooth and positive environment.
• Must have a positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders of the school.
• Must have or be willing to be trained in first aid.
• Be committed to promoting the welfare of and safeguarding our children
