What is the job role?

The Digital Navigator role will sit within the Business Systems and Continuous Improvement Service of Coventry City Council Adult Social Care services, supporting the frontline delivery of the council’s Digital Transformation agenda. The Digital Navigator role will support Social Work teams, identifying Social Care recipients who could benefit from technology enabled care interventions. This will be done utilising a person-centred approach to assist Social Workers in developing personalised care plans that include technology enabled care solutions.

The aim of this role will be to find ways to maintain and increase independence of service users and allow service users to better realise the positive outcomes detailed within their care plans.

The Digital Navigator role will also support the local mapping of care and community-based services to support the updating of the suite of community assets and services in support of personalised care available, to facilitate independence and build on individual capacity and resilience.

This is a 1 year fixed term contract, the ideal candidate should be able to start in September 2024.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates who are passionate about delivering the best services for adults living in Coventry, working in partnership with a range of teams and organisations in the spirit of our One Coventry Values and Plan.

A confident communicator who has strong leadership skills to deliver results within challenging circumstances whilst maintaining a positive outlook. You should have a working understanding of the processes and functions of adult social care and a knowledge of digital technologies that can support service users to live lives that maximise their independence and quality of life. You should also have demonstrable analytical and IT skills and be able to produce reports, data and information for a variety of purposes and audiences.

The role will offer opportunities to further develop your knowledge and expertise with support for learning and undertaking training to enhance this.
