Design Technology Technician - Cardinal Newman Catholic School

Full Time (37 hours per week)

Term time + Training days

Grade 4 £23,893- £27,334 pro rata per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Design & Technology department.

The governors of this popular, over-subscribed, Catholic school are seeking to appoint a reliable, enthusiastic, creative person to ensure that all students are able to achieve their best, as they access the Design Technology curriculum.

Who are we looking for?

The successful candidate will:

· Support the distinctive ethos of this Catholic School.

· Have the ability to adopt a flexible but organised approach to tasks.

· Be responsible for processing orders and stock taking.

· Have excellent literacy/numeracy/IT and computer skills.

· Carry out simple repairs and maintain equipment.

· Plan develop and prototypes.

· Have due regard to confidentiality, child protection procedures, health and safety and other statutory requirements in line with the school’s policies.

· Prepare a variety of materials/teaching aids in the classroom environment.

· Follow GDPR guidelines at all times.

· Be an effective role model for the standards of behaviour expected of pupils.

Cardinal Newman is a highly successful 11-18 Catholic comprehensive school set in 37-acre grounds in the pleasant outskirts of Coventry.
