What is the job role?

Grade 1 point 1 (Actual Salary £8473.44 per annum)

Term Time Only, plus 3 Days (to be agreed)

20 hours per week. Monday to Friday 9.30am – 1.45pm (15 mins unpaid lunch)

Sherbourne Fields is an expanding Special School for children aged 2 – 19 years. We are an ‘Outstanding School’ and we like to ensure that our school is well maintained by providing a safe and clean environment for all of our students, staff and visitors alike.

Furthermore, we have a number of pupils with medical conditions and therefore a number of areas around our school which require enhanced cleaning. A rigorous cleaning plan must be followed and maintained at all times to ensure health and safety risks are minimised at all times.

We require a hardworking, reliable, flexible, enthusiastic, and extremely motivated individual with high expectations to join our team of premises staff. You will be required to work using your own initiative whilst also demonstrating your ability to prioritise your workload.

You will work independently and have cleaning responsibility for a specific area of the school. A common sense approach along with a ‘can do’ attitude is essential!

Previous experience in this role working within a similar environment such as an educational or care setting is preferred. However, more importantly, if you meet the criteria and can demonstrate a sound understanding of the necessary skills required to fulfil this position then we would love to hear from you.
