What is the job role?

Castle Wood School is looking to recruit a Cleaner to join our existing cleaning team.

You will be required to undertake general cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, buffing and vacuuming, dusting, emptying litter bins, cleaning toilets etc to ensure the school is kept in a clean and hygienic condition. You will be required to use powered equipment as required in specified areas within the school in accordance with the school’s standards.

Hours of work are 15 hours a week Monday to Friday 3.15pm – 6.15pm term time, including teacher training days plus one week during the school holidays to carry out deep cleaning activities

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic and who will ensure that the high standards of cleanliness and presentation are maintained within our school.

The successful candidate should ideally have previous cleaning experience in a similar setting and must have good communication and interpersonal skills.

You should be able to work individually and as part of a team.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced criminal record check via the DBS.
