About the team we are recruiting to

The Transformation Team sits at the heart of the Council. We work with services across the organisation to drive large scale change and establish best practice throughout council services. The Council's Transformation Programme is overseen and supported by our One Coventry Leadership Team, ensuring that our work always focuses on the key priorities for our city, having the maximum impact in improving services for the people of Coventry and making best use of the resources available to us.

Our team is made up of change professionals, trained in APM (Association of Project Management) and BCS Level 4 Business Analysis and we use a range of methodologies including Agile and Waterfall to deliver our programmes and projects.

We enjoy working flexibly, paper-light, with a keen eye for digital solutions and a culture that embraces change and creativity.

What is the job role?

We have 1 x permanent post and 2 x 12 month fixed-term contracts

We are looking for Change Managers to join our highly motivated and dedicated team to support the ongoing transformation of Coventry City Council.  

The Transformation Team supports a variety of key transformational initiatives, working closely with colleagues and partners to deliver change which improves quality and outcomes as well as address financial challenges.

We know that people are key to achieving sustained change, so we are looking for candidates who enjoy and excel at building positive working relationships with stakeholders to complement our team, co-designing projects to drive successful change initiatives through project implementation and beyond.

As a council we will continue to undergo significant change at a high pace, so we are looking for people with a level of personal resilience in a high-paced environment and in a culture where the customer is at the heart of everything we do.  

Who are we looking for?

Someone who: 

• can build effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• is confident and able to challenge the status quo
• can develop creative solutions to complex problems 
• is comfortable working at pace and with flexibility in evolving, iterative programmes of work 
• is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy and leading project teams
• can work with uncertainty and changing priorities 
• is self-motivated and determined
