What is the job role?

Are you a Head Chef looking for a new opportunity that can provide you with a great work / life balance?

We are looking for a dynamic and inspirational individual to lead and manage our Catering Facility at our Primary School in Earlsdon, which is a short drive from Coventry City Centre.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience managing a catering facility. You will be innovative, creative and passionate, ensuring our children have the best experience of healthy eating from a young age.

You will have experience of managing a team of staff, reviewing and implementing change, managing budget/KPI’s and menu planning in order to deliver high quality healthy food on budget and on time.

The successful candidate will:

Create and serve delicious and nutritious meals for our pupils.
Lead, manage and motivate a team of catering staff.
Demonstrate good knowledge of catering legislation.
Be articulate and able to communicate effectively with all shareholders.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such, appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Grade 5 Pt 12 £22,571 - Pt 23 £28,226 FTE (pro rata for 30 hours per week, Term Time only plus 5 training days. Salary Point dependent on experience)

Working hours Mon – Fri 8.00am – 2.00pm (some flexibility around hours can be discussed for the right candidate).

Required from June 2022.
