R&M is a service area within Coventry City Council which provides repair and maintenance services to Coventry City’s operational, commercial and school portfolio. We have a dedicated team with over 30 years’ experience of completing emergency and responsive repairs, planned preventative maintenance schedules and property improvements and refurbishments.
The R&M team is multi-disciplined providing building works, refurbishments, general maintenance, gas servicing, maintenance and installations, electrical works and a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year emergency call out service across all trades.
The service area aims to:
- Ensure that all statutory compliance with industry standards, British standards and relevant Approved Codes of Practice are achieved.
- Repairs are carried out swiftly and to a high standard
- Projects are delivered on time and on budget
We are seeking positive, experienced, enthusiastic, talented and driven professionals who care about the development of our great city to join our busy, top performing, forward thinking Regulation services.
What is the job role?
Repairs & Maintenance are looking for an apprentice Business Administrator to join us as member of our office team, you will be working alongside a team of technical support planners, material buyer, storeman and a multiskilled workforce of engineers who carry out repairs throughout the Council and external businesses.
A typical day will include: -
- Scheduling works
- Liaising with customers via telephone or email
- Paying of invoices
- Taking part in small projects
- Carrying out stores’ duties including receipting of goods from suppliers
- Checking mailboxes and supporting the team to manage the mailboxes and emails received in to them
Who are we looking for?
- Care about delivering excellent customer service to customer
- Ability to deliver in a fast paced ever changing priority environment
- Good ICT Skills
- Basic knowledge of building trades
- To work well within a team
- Able to work to deadlines
