What is the job role?
Finham Park 2 is an exciting new co-educational academy in Coventry that opened in September 2015. Already a popular choice with local parents, we have a full cohort of Years 7 to 12 students. Our students are smart, thoughtful, inquisitive, well-behaved and polite; on entry they are significantly above the national average for attainment in English and Mathematics.
The school was set up by leaders from the ‘Outstanding’ (2015) Finham Park School and is proud to be part of and supported by the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic Art and Photography Technician for Maternity Cover to support teaching staff in delivering the curriculum to all students. This post would be of interest to a creative and flexible person interested in Art and Photography to provide technical and administrative support to the Art Department. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the Display boards in the school and will have creative input in developing these. We are looking for an experienced individual who possesses effective communication skills and knowledge and understanding of different media in Art including painting, ceramics, printmaking, sculpture and photography. A good and secure technical knowledge of digital photography and Photoshop skills are highly desirable, as is an understanding of lighting and photographic lighting equipment.
Grade 3 £18,933 - £20,092 (Actual Salary £8,178 - £8,678)
18.5 hours per week, term time only plus one week
(Maternity Cover – Fixed Term Contract)
Start January 2021
