What is the job role?
Salary Range: £19,294 - £20,883 (Dependent on experience & skills)
Working hours: Term time (37 hours) + 5 days
Start date: September 2021
Contract: Fixed one-year until 31st August 2022
Triumph Trust is a Multi Academy Trust with currently 2 Coventry schools, Alderman’s Green and Courthouse Green primaries, both on the north east side of the city. Both schools are at the heart of communities who face significant challenge and our priority is to provide the highest quality education possible to enable our pupils to achieve well and to be ambitious and optimistic for their futures.

As part of the role, you will receive continual, extensive professional development to support your future career in education.
The post holder will be required to have a minimum of three years of experience working in a mentoring and or coaching capacity with young people who face multiple complex barriers which prevent them from achieving their goals, such as those who maybe young carers or who may live in households of poverty or crime.
The post holder must possess a nationally recognised qualification, such as Youth Mentoring, as well as having experience in the delivery of intervention programmes. All post holders will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
The role of the Ambition Coach is to undertake direct face to face work within both Alderman’s Green and Courthouse Green, with a caseload of children in order to support their progression into positive outcomes in life, working to an agreed mentoring plan.
The main responsibilities of the post holder are as follows:
- Provide children, who face significant adversity and disadvantage within their lives, with bespoke and personalised mentoring and encouragement which enables them to be ambitious for their futures.
- Work with class teachers and children to create individual targets to support their educational outcomes.
- Work with children and their families to set ambition goals, guiding and supporting them towards them.
- Provide children with advice and guidance which helps them identify their potential.
- Ensure the ongoing development and implementation of positive working relationships with children, their parents and staff.
- Successfully manage the successful recording of all outcomes against Key Performance Indicators.
