About the team we are recruiting to

Coventry Residential Children’s Services currently have several well-established children's homes within the city. Our family style homes offer individualised care for children aged 10 to 18 years, who have a diverse range of needs and may have been impacted by childhood trauma.

We also have a forward-thinking strategy with a clear vision to expand our provision and due to this we are currently in the process of opening new homes, so why not join us and be part of our incredible journey.

What is the job role?

There are several key areas of skill essential to this role:

- An ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise workloads

- Be part of a team that understands the needs and challenges of the children within our care

- A good working knowledge of administrative and financial procedures and systems

- Excellent computer skills including a detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Office

- Excellent numeracy, written and verbal communications

- Professional and positive approach

- Ability to multi-task and retain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

- Confidential approach in dealing with personal information

- Ability to embrace change and work with new systems and processes

- Knowledge of GDPR

The role of administrator involves a level of flexibility as you will be required to offer support across the service.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Who are we looking for?

Do you have experience working within business administration, and are looking for an exciting opportunity?

We are seeking a competent, enthusiastic person, with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can work with integrity, professionalism and understands the importance of confidentiality and attention to detail. The post holder must demonstrate high levels of inter-personal skills to include sensitivity, diplomacy and assertiveness, particularly when under pressure of deadlines.

If you think you have the right skills to help us to achieve great things for our children by placing them at the centre of everything you do, and feel that you are caring, non-judgmental, enthusiastic, diligent, able to work in partnership with others and are flexible, accountable, and resilient, we would like to hear from you.

As part of the application process, you will need to provide us with your full work history since leaving school and identify any gaps in order to meet the requirements of Schedule 2 of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
