Admin Assistant - Walsgrave C of E Academy

Employment Status: Fixed Term contract January 2022 – July 2022

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 7.30am – 3.30pm – Friday 7.30am – 3.00pm

Actual Salary: £16,702 - £17,724 per annum

Full time equivalent salary: £18,933 - £20,092 per annum

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Walsgrave C of E Academy for the post of Admin Assistant. The successful candidate will work as part of Walsgrave Academy’s Administration Team and will be based in the front office, ensuring an efficient and pro-active administrative support service to the school.

Ideally you should have experience of working in an Academy or School setting and a working knowledge of Sims.Net would be desirable. However, we will look at transferrable skills to attract the right candidate. In addition to general administration tasks other aspects of this role will include accounts payable such as raising & inputting orders, maintain printing of registers and absence sheets and process monthly reports. There will be a strong focus on Customer Services and the post holder will be first point of contact for Visitors, Children and Staff, and for answering telephone calls.

Walsgrave C of E Academy is part of the Inspire Education Trust and the potholder may be deployed periodically at other schools within the Trust should the need arise.

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
