What is the job role?

 

16+ Tutor
(UQT 1-6) Temporary, Full time, Fixed Term Contract until 31st July 2022
Term Time Only - Required ASAP


You will be employed by the trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. The schools are Radford Primary Academy, Ernesford Grange Community Academy, Riverbank Academy (Special School), Sidney Stringer Primary Free School and Sidney Stringer Academy.


We are looking to employ 16+ tutors in order to support our Key Stage Five students through their studies in post 16. This may be providing mentoring, teaching in small groups or revision support. This will also include supervision of 16+ student in our 16+ Study Centre.
Potential candidates need to have high grades in their own GCSEs in English and Maths with a strong academic record in A-level subjects. All applicants must be able to work one-to one or in small groups with students in our brand new 16+ block.


We are looking for someone who is confident but supportive and is able to identify misconceptions in a student’s work and clearly explain how to correct them. The one to one or small group tutorials would be focused on passing GCSE Mathematics (Edexcel) and English (Eduqas).
