Senior Supervisory Assistant - Blue Coat CofE School

What is the job role?

Part time, 12.5 hours per week

Term time only, 38 weeks per year

Actual Salary: £5,424 - £5,643 pro rata per annum

Full time equivalent salary: £18,198 - £18,933 full time equivalent per annum (Grade 2)

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a senior lunchtime supervisor to manage our small team of break and lunchtime supervisors.  Every day will bring different challenges as the post holder will be responsible for maintaining a good level of order and discipline in the canteen and throughout the school premises. You will also be required to work alongside the school’s first aider, responding promptly to first aid incidents as they arise. 

Ideally, you will be comfortable working in a busy environment and have experience working directly with children. Equally importantly, you will thrive in a demanding environment and be able to juggle a number of demands including leadership of the supervisory assistants, providing a timely response to first aid incidents and confidently addressing matters of poor behaviour with support from designated staff.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Is able to lead a small team, setting high expectations among supervisory staff and students

• Is flexible and can adapt to changing situations in this demanding role

• Effectively able to deal with first aid incidents in a safe and timely manner
