PRIMARY DEPUTY HEADTEACHER

Pay scale: L14 – L18 (£58,153 - £64,143)

Sherbourne Fields is an Outstanding all aged Special School catering for pupils with a broad spectrum of special educational needs with 221 pupils currently on role.

(Ofsted - Outstanding 2011/2012, 2013/2014, and 2018/2019) ‘Consistently high quality teaching means that pupils make exceptional progress both academically and socially.’

Due to the growing demand for Special School places across the City, our pupil numbers have increased in both Primary and Secondary departments, and to ensure we continue to best meet the needs of our growing community - in particular our Primary department, we are now seeking to appoint an inspirational, ambitious and determined Primary Deputy Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team.

The successful candidate will be a passionate and energetic leader with a proven track record in a specialist setting.

You will have exceptional strategic vision; making robust contributions to our leadership team; school development plan; and the future of our school.

You will ensure our pupils are provided with a suitably adapted rich and meaningful Primary curriculum to enable them to move into Secondary provision as confident and curious individuals with the necessary skills to develop into independent young adults who can thrive in their community. 

The post has a teaching commitment which will enable you to model quality first teaching and demonstrate impact on all of the pupils across Primary.
