Operational Support Officer

Children’s Services is a service area within Coventry City Council that supports children and families across the city.

The Professional Support Service makes a positive difference every day. We are a team at the very heart of Children’s Services in Coventry, working with colleagues at all levels across Children’s Services to contribute to positive outcomes for some of the most vulnerable Children and Families across the City. 

When you join our team, you’ll be working alongside people who are passionate about what they do and determined to make a difference.

In this role you will be providing professional support to our Quality Assurance, front office team. You will be responsible for effective call handling, liaising with Social Workers, Child Protection Independent Reviewing Officers, setting Initial Child Protection Conferences, Reviews for Child Protections Conferences, OFSTED checks, maintaining databases, supporting Family Group Conference work, missing children, Adult Safeguard Conferences, managing bookings, supporting with note taking and other tasks as appropriate, based within Broadgate House.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
