Carers Community Navigator Officer

What is the job role?

We are currently working with our partner organisation Carers Trust, Heart Of England to recruit a Carers Community Navigator Officer to join their Coventry team, on an initial 12 month fixed term contract basis. 

Carers Trust Heart of England’s aim is to support carers and their families by providing the highest possible quality services, information, advice and support.  Supporting carers to have a life alongside their caring role and to access the support they need.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic and busy team supporting carers across Coventry.

The role

Carers Trust Heart of England aims to improve the identification and support of carers in the community across Coventry.  We are looking for a Wellbeing Carers Community Navigator Officer to develop and deliver this work in partnership with the Wellbeing Services and Coventry City Council. This role will identify opportunities for carers to access activities in their community to build their social networks, build their social bubble, and reduce social isolation and loneliness.  

You will have a working knowledge of the Health and Social Care system, and the challenges faced by carers. You will have experience of fostering collaborative relationships and influencing stakeholders to adopt and embed new ways of working. You will be passionate about involving carers from diverse and hard-to reach groups in the community and the development and delivery of projects finding innovative ways to support carers.
