What is the job role?

Apprentice rate: £4.15 per hour (first 12 months)

35 hours per week, term time only (including 20% training time)

Required September 2020, or as soon as possible after this date

Spon Gate Primary School is situated in the heart of the city. We are proud to work with wonderful children from all over the world. Governors are seeking to appoint an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support children, initially in a Year 2 class. It is likely that the duration of the apprenticeship will be between 12 and 18 months, depending on the level of apprenticeship. You will be provided with appropriate training and have the opportunity to work alongside experienced, skilled practitioners.

We are looking for:

• A candidate with recent school-based experience

• A caring individual who is prepared to go the extra mile to meet the needs of all children

• An enthusiastic person who can stimulate and engage children in their learning

• Applicants should have GCSE or equivalent in English and mathematics.
